Pita Chips and Tzatziki

I’ve always loved pita chips, and now because I have this recipe, I’ll be making and eating them a lot more! Both recipes are quick and easy, and are great things to bring along to parties or a friend’s house.

Pita Chips

You will need:

  • 1 package of pita bread
  • 5 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • salt
  • pepper

Combine the olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper and mix well.Cut your pieces of pita bread into 8 equal sized triangles, and arrange on an ungreased cookie sheet. Then use a brush to put some of the olive oil mixture onto each slice of pita. Put all of this into a 325 degree oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.

You will need:

  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced finely
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 cup greek yogurt, strained
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cucumber, peeled, seeded and diced
  • 1 tsp. chopped fresh dill (optional- I didn’t use this)

Combine olive oil, vinegar, garlic, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix until well combined. Using a whisk, blend the yogurt with the sour cream. Add the olive oil mixture to the yogurt mixture and mix well.

Finally, add the cucumber and chopped fresh dill. Chill for at least two hours before serving (I didn’t…I was too hungry. Whoops!).

Easy to make, and it tastes amazing!
