These shoes were so fun to make! They took some time, but I think they ended up great! I’m not that artistic – as you can see. My strong point in drawing is definitely doodling. This is basically what I based this design off of. The two shoes are not identical, which I think makes them really unique! I got the shoes on sale for $7 about a year ago, and thought I would jazz ’em up a bit.
(I’m thinking of doing a little giveaway soon too! Let me know what you think!) This is how you do it –
You’ll need:
- a sharpie or fabric marker
- a pair of shoes
First off, I would suggest using a fine point marker if you are planning to do a very detailed design. There isn’t that much explaining to be done for this project. Take the cap off your marker and start drawing! Next time I’m thinking I’ll get a pair of white shoes, and a whole pack of fabric markers! Maybe draw your favourite animal or cartoon character? Or just a twirly kind thing like I did.
This is what the shoes looked like 3/4 of the way done.
To get the design, I basically drew random swirls all of the shoe, and filled in between with other lines and squares.
I hope you have fun creating your own designs. Please send me photos in the comments! I would love you see what you’ve done!
Very innovative 🙂 Jen xoxo http://mystylisticlife.wordpress.com
I truly love this idea. I will be trying it on a pair of white sneakers. Thanks for sharing.
I designed my own shoes. Check them out!
